ARTS IMMERSION COACH-

MRS. MONICA FORRESTER

This fall, I was able to work closely with students and teachers in the seventh grade. In math, the students got moving using rhythm, repetition, and the order of operations. In science, while studying the waxing and waning phases of the moon, students created beautiful watercolor wax resist models. When students use the arts in their core subjects, they are more interested in what they are learning, they stay more engaged, and the things they learn don't evaporate from their short-term memory. Students have created a "Mythology Poster Book" in Language Arts and these are hanging in the halls.
