"THE WAHOOS"

 

Seventh grade students receive six periods of academic subjects per day. Each class is a double period and they receive Geography and Science on a rotating A/B day schedule.

GEOGRAPHY

Students began their first unit on Asia. They have learned each country and have made maps in class. They also use computers to learn about the economic geography of Asia and completed a mind mapping project on the cultural geography of the continent.

ILA

Students researched their names and wrote stories about them during our "Labyrinth of Language" unit. They continue to learn the history of many English words through the Greek mythology unit. Students will be reading classic short stories from a list of famous authors like O. Henry and Hemingway during the "It's Classic!" unit.

 

MATH

We are beginning to look at Probability.

SCIENCE

We are wrapping up our unit on astronomy. Our school science fair is November 19th and the county fair is the 28th.

Study Tips: it may be wise to allow a break between homework assignments to ensure accuracy and avoid fatigue complete homework in a distraction free zone.
