PMS Summer Learning Academies
SeaPerch ROV Construction
PMS summer STEM students become engineers as they learn all about building a SeaPerch ROV (remotely operated vehicle) which is an underwater robot. They also learned how these robots are the eyes for what is happening in the ocean and how they are used in helping to clean up the BP Gulf oil spill. This hands-on SeaPerch experience gave many of the students a challenging opportunity and motivated them to have thoughts of further study in careers associated with robotics, engineering, marine sciences and more.
